The Venus Project is a micro documentary capturing the philosophy that inspired The Venus Project; a not-for-profit organization offering an alternative vision for civilization by reimagining social and environmental systems.

How We Got Started
Our producer discovered The Venus Project back in 2012 during an undergraduate class, and was fascinated that its’ founders believed they could impact our health and the Earth’s by redesigning social systems. After years of reading more about social engineering and futurism, our producer made it her goal to get in touch with co-founder Roxanne Meadows to create a micro documentary capturing their ideas for the future. We were welcomed to The Venus Project in early 2019, and spent an afternoon with Roxanne Meadows visiting the grounds in Venus, Florida, and meeting some of the people powering the not-for-profit.

Why This Story?
We created this micro documentary to inspire people to think differently about the world and the role that they play in shaping it. We are living through interesting and important times in the Earth’s history. Unlike past generations, in the wake of all the crises happening globally, we have all the knowledge and technology necessary for us to craft strong, positive and possible futures for our planet. That is, if we bridge analytic and creative thinking. We hope this film will empower a new wave of change makers to grow and challenge themselves to make their mark on the world - like it has for us.
